Southside Whisky Club #017 - Wednesday 19th November - I belong to Glasgow

£20.00
sold out

This ticket entitles you to entry to the seventeenth meeting of The Glasgow Southside Whisky Club.

The club aims to be a friendly, informal and inclusive space to meet like minded whisky folk and of course peruse, enjoy and discuss some fine whiskies along the way.

Wednesday 19th November

7:30pm

For our first birthday celebration we’ll be going full circle and returning to our beloved home city, the inimitable Dear Old Glasgow Town.

Our first meeting was held almost a year to the day, 20th November 2024 and was hosted by Libby from The Glasgow Distillery Co.

12 months later and we’re back with a club led night focussing on all things Glasgow whisky. From the ubiquitous blends of the late 20th Century, the grain behemoths (ghosts and all), the pot still distilleries on the city peripheries through to the re-birth of true Glasgow single malt.

‘I belong to Glasgow
Dear old Glasgow town
Well what's the matter with Glasgow
For it's goin' 'roon and 'roon
I'm only a common old working chap
As anyone here can see
But when I get a couple of drinks on a Saturday
Glasgow belongs to me’
